Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (cccesv) on the Danger of War A source, who has furnished reliable information in the past, has furnished the following information: A conference was held in early July, 1961, in the International Department of the CCCPSU in Moscow, Russia. Among those prose t at this conference were: An individual by the name o evlyagin, whose first name is ymknown, who is a Deputy of a Ponomarev, Head of the ifiternational Department, CCCPSU; Nikolai Vladimirovic /Mostovets, Head of the North and South American Section pf the International Department, CCCPSU; Aleksei. ‘andreeviclr Grechukhin, Assistant to Mostovets and also Head of the United States séction of the International Department, CCCPSU, and IgorAMfichaele member of the International Department, CCCPSU and Deputy to Mostovets. Igor Michaelov, in his work in the International Department, specializes in United States trade unions. This group issued instructions directed to Gus Hall, General Secretary of the Commmist Party, USA (CPUSA), which consisted of the following: From now on, and for many months to come, the danger of war and the tensions connected therewith are going to be much greater than they are now or have been in the past and at times that the tension will reach such a high pitch as to indicate that a war is imminent.
