Re: Merger of the Cuban Communist —
Party With the 26th of July
Movement
A source, who has furnished reliable information in
the past, furnished the following information in July, 1961:
In late June, 1961, and early July, 1961, the
following individuals discussed the merger of the Cuban
Communist Party (CP) with the 26th of July Movement:
American Section’ of the International Department of the
Céntral Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union
(CCCPSU); Timur}Timofeev, son of the late Eugene Dennis,
former Ghairmanlof the Communist Party, United States of
\ America (CPUSA), who is currently employed at the International
\ Department of the CCCPSU, who discussed information he in
turn had obtained from an individual, name unknown, who is
in charge of the Cuban Section in the international Department
of the CCCPSU, with regard to the merger above mentioned; and
from Ladislawy;Kotzman, of the International Department of
the Czechoslévakian Communist Party (CP), in charge of English
speaking countries, _ f
