PART VII
GAPS
1. (U) Information is needed on the effects Nina Kulagina, Alla
Vinogradova, and other Soviet psychics exert on magnetic tapes.
2. (U) More information is needed on Robert Pavlita's psychotronic
generators. Pavlita was quoted as having stated that he intended to
obtain foreign patents on his devices in 1974, after which he would
publicly divulge the details of their construction and operation. In-
formation is needed on such patent applications and on Pavlita's explan-
ations of their construction and operation.
3. (U) More information is needed on the circuitry and response charac-
teristics of current or proposed Soviet or Czech biological energy detec~
tion instruments. Such information is needed on instruments utilized for
measurements at the cellular level and at the total body level.
4. (U) Information is needed on the status of Soviet cellular radiation
research. Present information indicates that they have identified ultra-
violet (UV) radiation as one electromagnetic (EM) carrier or transfer
mechanism from cell to cell. More information on this research is needed
in order to determine whether it is fortuitous in regard to Soviet para-
psychology research, or is an integral part of it.
5. (U) Information is needed on the extent of Soviet mass-screening for
identifying psychic citizens. Does the Soviet military have screening
programs, and if so, which branches of service are involved? If such
screening programs exist, are they conducted by psychological testing,
or by direct observation of abilities to influence simple instruments
such as those developed by the Czechs?
6. (U) There are indications that the official attitude concerning para-
psychology is changing in the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia. Infor-
mation is needed concerning the basis for the apparent changes in official
attitude.
7. (U) %Is there any evidence of clandestine use by the Soviets of appar-
ently electromagnetic or electrostatic devices against personnel, equip-
ment, or radio and television stations?
