I am writing to thank you for volunteering for duty in the
Cabinet Office Briefing Room during the weekend Il/l2 June
which I am sure interfered with plans you had already made.
However I would like you to know that this enabled us to provide
the state of readiness required to prepare for a possible
emergency. Thank you very much for agreeing to carry out this
extra duty at short notice.
Mr Crudge will be able to advise you on allowances which you
are authorised to claim.
