NATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR FRLI, ALBANIA LEADERS
VIEW MOSCOW'S GERM WARFARE CHARGES AS BUILD-UP
TO DISCREDIT MATERIAL AID BEING SENT TO STARVING
SATELLITE PEOPLES BY EXILE GROUPS
National Cowittee for Free Albania spokesmen charged today
that Moscow's claims that germ warfare is being waged in Korea
is a psychological warfare scheme developed by the Communists to
halt the widespread sentiment for the Free West which is spreading
rapidly thru the satellite countries as a result of material aid
which is being distributed by exile groups residing in the Free
West to these oppressed peoples on a large scale in spite of
Moscow's efforts to halt •such shipments.
NCFA spokesmen point to Albania as an outstanding example of
one ouch satellite in which material aid distributes to the otarOing.
populace by its exile group has won widespread support for the Free
West and thrown the Red Puppet Government into a complete csandrY.
According to NOVA, this story which is being told in detail for the
first time, started last autumn. NCFA emissaries operating within
Albania sent out word to their committee officers that inspite that
of one of the beet harvests in the history of Albania such large share
of Albania's produce had been confiscated by Pup pet Government of
Enver Roxha for shipment to Russia that the Albanian populace was
left with insufficient foodstuffs to survive.
After careful investigation NCFA leaders determined to help their
starving brethern, even at the expense of being accused of assisting
the Puppet Regime. Thus, on 14th September, 1952 , the Chs4004n of
NOFA, who maintains headquarters in New York City, sent a telegram
to Premier Enver Roxha in Tirana stating that he and his associates,
although dedicated to the demise of the Red Puppet Regime, could not
stand idly by while their brothers and sisters died of starvation;
that they desired to furnish material aid to their people and would
made such assistance available if Premier Hoxha would agree to the
acceptance of such aid under the supervision of a neutral Internationa/
Organization.
