Dellinger, who h a s been summering in Hawaii, is believed still therc and it is questionable that he will make the coming affair. C. 1 I - 0 The Jewish Defense League (JDL) is sponsoring a rally a t Phila- .delphia's Independence Hall on '16 August. Following the rally the demonstrators will begin a m a r c h to Washington, D. C . , where the par- ticipants plan t6 demonstrate at Lafayette P a r k on 23 August. The - * principal theme of the JDL protest is the treatment of Jews in the Soviet Union. Defense League spokesmen expect from 480-500 demonstrators. AItliough the League is shunned by many Jcwish organizations because of its militant reputation, their national membership is reported to be approximately 10,000.
