UNKNOWN SUBJECTS;
BOMBING OF 16TH STREET CHURCH
SEPTEMBER 15, 1963
BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA
"*All of the Negro businesses have
closed up and near dark there isn't a Negro
to be seen on the street. And could you
blame them? The State Troopers sent here
to protect us will ride along the street
with their rebel flagged cars saying ‘run
nigger.’
"'It's quite difficult to write a
cheerful letter under the circumstances but
in spite of all I guess I still have a lot
to be thankful for. Don't forget to come
to my funeral when ever you read about it.
(Smile, I think).
""Love, Wee Will Ware."
