Alabama. This piece of wire was su
boratory for comparison with material previously for-
warded from évidence located at the scene of the explosion
in the vicinity of 1601 South Center Street, Birminghan,
Alabama, September 25, 1963.
On November 22, 1963, the FBI Laboratory advised
as follows: ,, z .
A comparison ef specimen K27 with the previously
submitted Q17 portion of a wire coat hanger disclosed that
they are notipieces of the same coat hanger. The beginning -
of the hook part of the hanger is present on Q17 and since
it is also present on K27 the latter specimen could not be
part of specimen Q17.
ti,
The cut ends of the K27 wire were cut with a similar
type tool to the tool used to cut the Q17 wire. However, the
cut ends of K27 are rusted which prevents a determination as
to whether or not the same tool was used to cut these two
Specimens.
