He requested authority to interview those SAz, On August 31, 1976, a letter vas directed to him advising his that only 12 of the 23 SAs are presentiy on active duty with the Bureau. One of the named SAs ia deceased. He was told that interviews of the 12 SAs currently on duty would be authorized 4f such interviews were conducted in Birmingham, in the presence of representatives of the Birmingham Office who are familiar with captioned case so as to insure that matters which must roniin confidential are not discussed.
