C. ~ ABSCAM Gentlemen I applaud you for your Operation ABSCAM, with you one hundred and one percent. Who but the ones in question should express criticism of your organization for uncovering those so-called leaders who aren't so clean. Wish it could have been broadened to uncover them all, but those who were caught willing to aggrandize themselves by foul means will serve to alert any other prospective types of that ilk. My desire is for CLEAN GOVERNMENT, CLEAN AND HONEST LEADERS. We in ny family were raised to respect authority, to look up to and respect our leaders. I neither lock up to nor respect the unworthy. Would you look up to dirt? The term "entrapment" has been and is being used by and for them in defense of their dishonest moves. I say this: an honest man cannot be trapped into stealthily stuffing his brief case with ill-gotten cash. He may be trapped into keeping the appointment, but upon learn- ing the premise that goes with the promise, the honest man would lose no time telling them to get lost. Not to create more in the way of bureaucracy, but we can surely use ( more of this type of “oversighting™ and "overseeing" -- and I can't think of a better organization to do it than our Federal Bureau of Investigation.
