Dear Sir; Reference is made to the report of Special Agent W. A. Temple, Birmingham, Alebama, dated Mey 25, 1955, and to my letter of July 17, 1935. —) b7e On August 29, 1955 Agent Tample called at the Prison Camp office, Parchman, Mississippi, for the purpose of again interviewing as vag Sirs O ET At that time agent Tample was informed by Sergeant « PF. Medo » ®ho has charge of this Prison Camp, that has recently addressed 4 letter to Mrs. Capone. This letter was not mailed by the prison authorities, and a copy was made by Special Agent Temple. Copies area attached to thia cammnication. It is noted that the anvelope Poe wee was addressed to Mra. Capone care of Palm Island Estate, Miami, Florida. From the attitude that QRBBR has texen in this matter, it seems to me that he is endeavoring to receive leniency in amma min ah at ss eee ok connection with the pending gy Charge’, without actually having any information of value to furnish. It also seems that he may be con- templating some kind of shake-down schame with reference to Mrs. Capone, I would appreciate the advice of the Burean as to | whether it is deemed desirable to continue the wriodic contacts with | In the absence of such contacts, there are no leads in the Birmingham territory, and this case should sither be closed or Referred Upon Completion to the Atlanta office.
