CAPONE stated that RALPH ROE, Fugitive, was a likeable fellow and that it was his opinion ROE had actually escaped. He stated that he doubted whether COLE made 4 successful escape but could not explein why one would get away and not the other. He stated both of thase men worked in the mat shop making mats out of tire casings, and it was the general thought that automobile inner tubes had been left in some of the tiers and they had effected their escape by use of the inner tubes.
