Your letter of April 8th haz been received.
The FBI does not have any publications available
for distribution concerning Al Capone; however, you may wish
to refer to "The FBI Story, " a book written by Don Whitehead,
which contains some data relative to him. You may be able
to obtain a copy of it at your local library.
For your information, Cepone was eGantanaad am
October 24, 1931, for violation of the Federal income tax laws
which do not come within the investigative jurisdiction of the FBI.
He was released from the Federal Correctional Institution,
Terminal Island, California, on January 19, 1939, and died on
January 25, 1947, at Palm Island, Miami, Florida.
Enclosed is some literature which I hope you will
find of interest.
