This investigation disclosed that between Janunry 15 and March 5, 1929, Capone had freqently attended the races at the Miami Jockey Club, The Hialeah Race Track, Florida, and had frequently appeared in public in apparently good health during the time when the affidevit alleged he was in bed. The investigation revealed further Shat betveen January 13 and Match 5, 1929, Capone, in addition to having attended the races regulurly, hed made a trip by boat and another trip by aeroplane fror Miami, Florida, to the Bahama Isla@ds and return. Special Avents of the Tnited Ssates Bureau of Investigetion obtained affidavits from five police officials and an amployee at the race track to the effect that Capone had attended the races on a number of occasions between vanuary 13 and March 5, 192, at which ‘imes he had appeared to be in good Kealth. & pilot for a flying service at Miami, Florida, made affidavit that on February 2, 192, he had piloted a certain ses piane from Miami, Florida, So Bimini, Behama Islands, British West Indies, and return, carryi & to be in good health during the entire trip.
