California," Albert Sinstein, of the Institute for Advanced

Study, Prineaten, New Jersey, was listed as cone cf the national
sponsors of the association.
The letter explained the purposes of the Feder: tion
of american Seientists and the above mentioned Committee. It
also stated that they had received financial assistance from
the Einstein Bmergency Committee of Atomic Ecientists to expand
the Committee's activities.
