The Ur-American Activities C-tee declares that recent
so-calied' peace' congress organized by the Communists
at Mew York, had aimed at provoking atomic sctentizts
into ~cktng statements against the USA.
This conference, officially known ag the Scientific
and Cultural Conference for Internattonal Feace, wis
a part of a car aign against the North Atiantic Pact,
it also was a super-mobiltazation' of the Conmunist
forces and of their sumpothtizers.
It was a preiude to tre International Conference
for Feace which will open in jarts on April 20, healed
by the French Communist and atonic scientist, Frederic
Joliot-Curte. + John Rogge, former US Assistant
Attorney General, will be a Vice-Chairman of thia
Conference.
Richord Royer (phon.) called for ‘Civic dis-
obedience! at the New Fork Conference, appealing to
atonic scientists, Harlow Shapley, Wm. Higginbotham, “alte.
