Identities of the escapees have now been established as Frank Lee Morris, Alcatraz No. 1441; Clarence Anglin, Alcatraz No. 1485; and John William Anglin, Alcatraz No. 1476, The prisoner has advised that life rafts were to be fashioned of a raincoat-type of material and that the plan involved an attempt to go to a second island and thence to the mainland.
