The Attorney General has been advised by memorandum of the previous Federal escape record of the Anglin brothers . at Leavenworth in connection with the data furnished him concerning the Alcatraz escape. 7 x 2. Immediately upon learning of the escape from Alcatraz we instructed San Francisco to present the facts to the U. S. Attorney in order to obtain a warrant under the Federal Escape Statute to insure prosecution of these individuals for escape.
