I reached in to tap him on the head and it felt like it crumbled. _i immediately slapped at the head and it rolled on the floor. I sphoutéd to the other guards,tit 4s a dummy'jand I immediately threw off the blanket and stepped to cell 152 and slapped off the bianket noticing this was also a dummy I immediately checked the cell of FRANK LEE MORRIS number 138 and noted it wes @ dummy also. I immediately sounded hen called the control center and alerted I then went to the corridor behind the B ce oc ecause it was obvious that the inmates had not escaped through the front cell bars. I noted the rear air vent partitions on both the ANGLINs cells had been kicked out. I then noticed MORRIS' cell to be the same s0 noted that the air vent on tnmate cell numper 140, 1so loose and immediately alerted other guards rently attempted to.escape al cell and 3 Lki wher overheard state t © snakedown could ever discover: _thid, an was holding up a eardboard duplicate of the air vent and was ating it with his fist. I then heard some officers tn the corridor shout that the inmates had escaped through a vent in the corridcr reof behir B cell block.
