S. 12, about thirty miles east of South Bend, Indiana. As he was starting on a fishing trip at about 5:30 A.M., he stopped in a truck stop located a short distance north of Meadowlark Motel, He is not sure of the name of the truck stop but thinks it was merely "Truck Stop." He was served by and talked to a man who Indicated that he was the owner of the truck stop having just purchased it. The man told a story of having been wandering around for a year and not having worked for that period of time.
