CEE «00sec that the family was notified at IC 11:30 PM, Saturday night, January 11, 1964, that ALFRED had been accidentally electrocuted at 8: 30 PM that day while trying to escape 570 from Kilby, and the family paid §283.00 to have the body returned to Ruskin fer funeral services, and they stated they were further upset because no death certificate was received with the body, and although several attempts have been made by the funeral director to obtain a death certificate, it has not been forwarded by prison = officials. ee sv isce that a brother and s ANGLINS had tally contacted Prison Chaplain who allegedly stated that ALFRED and another prisoner re or top of a prisen building, when ALFRED became tangled in electric wire; that newspapers mentioned a window lined with high voltage wires, and further the family had also heard that the TV programs in Georgia had stated that ALFRED was sawing through the prison wall and had sawed through high voltage wires. -9- |417
