regarding the status of her request for "erotic" material from Bureau
files for research use of captioned Institute. This request was made the
subject of a memorandum from W. C. Sullivan to A. H, Belmont and a
letter to Assistant Attorney General Malcom R. Wilkey, both on November 13, 1959,
In the letter to the Department it was stated that asked that she be given
a decision as soon as possible On her request that Dr. Wardell B.“Pomeroy
fe granted the right to examine “erotica” in the possession of this Bureau,
as Dr. Pomeroy would be in Washington, D.C, » in the next few days,

Department of Justice for a decision as I had told her would be done at the __
time of the interview m the afternoon of November 12, 1959, |
stated that she wanted to advise the appropriate party of Dr. Waraéll B, Pomeroy's
intended visit to Washington, D.C, » Starting November 13 and wanted to send
a wire to the Bureau for referral to the Department as there were so many
attorneys in the Department she would‘know where to send it there, '
_Was advised that if she chose to_send further information or_inquiry regarding
this matter, it would be passed on to the Department for their information and
to be considered in conjunction with that already submitted, This was agreeab
to \who advised that she would send the attached wire, The ¢ 7)
