These delezates were also told that it would be reasonabie to assume that the young socialists attracted into this new organization would eventuaLly pess into the CP itself. A second conference of over 20 persons met in Chicago on December 28-23, 1205, for tne pirsose of initiating a “call to the new youth organization and planning for a founding con- vention to be held in June i964. 2 in A second source has advised that the founding convention for the new youth organizution was tcic¢ from June 19-21, 1964, at 154 Golden-Gate Avenue, San Francisco, Californi a, at which time the name W.E.8.
