2 ' APPENDIX * SOCIALIST WORKERS PARTY, CHICAGO BRANCH On May 12, 1964, a source advised that it was his understanding that the currently active Chicago Branch of the Socialist Workers Party (SWP) was one of the founding branches of the SWP at a 1938 Chicago Trotskyist Convention, and it follows the aims and principles of the SWP which maintains ‘ pational headquarters in New York City. Members of the Chicago Branch serve on the SWP National Committee, and per capita membership dues and a sus—- taining fund quota are sent by this branch on a monthly basis to SWP National Headquarters.
