“SPEAK-OUT ON VIETNAM
*Almost 1/3 of the American public has no opinion
on our Government's policy in Vietnam. The peace
movement must reach these people. A step in this
direction is being taken by an ad hoc group,
"Philadelphia Communities for Peace in Vietnan.*
"Consisting of members of WSP, Women's International
League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) SANE, Friends
Peace Committee (FPC), plus individuals from other ¢€
organizations and various communities in Phila- —
delphia, the Philadelphia Communities for Peace
in Vietnam (PCPVN) is planning a series of street
meetings, concentrating at first in Tioga and German-
town areas;
“Community groups will prepare the advance publicity
for the meetings to be held at selected locations.
From two to four speakers will make a brief
presentation on Viet Nam. We may have the use
of a peace, mobile. Leaflets will be distributed.
There will be a petition. Members of PCPVN will
try to discuss with persons in the audience to get
them to take action as signing a petition or becOming
part of the group for continued activity.
Each meeting will require a dozen or more people to
fulfill the various functions of chairman, speakers,
leafleteers, property people, petition gatherers
and those who will mix with the audience. If you
wish to help in any of the capacities listed please
contact Dave Eldredge, SANE, LO 3=-4179,"
