Program and speakers set out. One informant advises theme of meeting was "a reaf- firmation of faith in non-violence as a means of over- coming evil". Information furnished by persons in attendance at some of instant meetings indicates they had no reason to guestion proceedings of meeting and knew of no attempts by _CP or other related organizations to infiltrate AFSC in Houston area. Informant, CP matters, Houston, advises knew of no attempts of CP to infiltrate AFSC, Houston area. | | | 2 DETAILS: AT HOUSTON ; TEXAS * On May 25, 1955, Confidential Informant T-1, with whom contact has been insufficient to evaluate hes reliability, reported that a meeting of the AMERICAN -PRIENDS SERVICE COMMITTEE (SESC) was to be held in Houston, + Texas, from June 9 to 1l, 1955, in the First Christian Church.
