On one of his ventures into San Diego bookshops, he found a copy of _ Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf" and "that was the end of one Lincoln Rockwell, the 'nice guy, '--the dumb GON --and the beginning of an entirely different person." Imbued with the ideology of Hitler's National Socialism and filled with a desire to save the world from a "Jewish-Communist-Zionist conspiracy," Rockwell decided that his future lay in the political arena. But, a new wife and family, plus demands for alimony from his first wife, necessitated financial resources.
