Synopsis: To document a September 20, 2004 meeting at the United
States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases
(USAMRIID) regarding FBI access to USAMRIID computers.
Details: On September
BRUCE IVINS, telephone ,
Fort Detrick, Maryland (MD) to establish a procedure by which the FBI
could recover electronic mail (email) from USAMRIID computers.

USAMRIID desktop computers, laptop computers, loose media such as zipps
drives and floppy disks, and the USAMRIID network so that data could pbc
be recovered. A temporary work area for the Computer Analysis
Response Team (CART) agents will be created within IVINS' office.

individuals from whom the FBI inténds to recover emails is not yet
complete, and that more names may follow.
IVINS advised that there is a laptop computer on his hand
receipt, however he has never used it and cannot locate the computer.
