The following investigation was conducted by Special Writer accessed www.uspto.gov, operated by the United States Department of Commerce, Patent and Trademark Office. Using the search engine at www.uspto.gov, a search was conducted for all granted patents and applications that listed "Ivins" as an inventor. The database searched included all patents since 1976. The search engine revealed two patents listing Ivins, Bruce on the inventor line. These patents are as follows: The patent was Gg Vv on November 23, 1994 and was granted on November 13, 2001 under the patent number 6,316,006. 2) "Method of making a vaccine for anthrax," invented by Ivins; e patent was originally filed on March 7, 2000 and was granted on May 14, 2002 under the patent number 6,387,665. A search was also conducted forL_—sidiin the above mentioned website. _The only result returned from this search was the patent labeled mentioned above. Based on this search, it appears as if only has one patent under his name. Printouts from the abovementioned searches for each of the patents are attached to and made part of this document. Administrative: The abovementioned search was performed in response to emails found during a review of electronic evidence gathered during the investigation into Major Case 184. The emails in question were authored by BRUCE IVINS on April 15 and 16, 1999. The emails discussed the process involved with filing the patent. Copies of these emails are attached to and made part of this document. |
