WARFIELD, of los Angeles, California, inatituted the vccotiations lesding up to the January 20, 1949, agreenent by the USPC, Ine. @nd Pacific Tankers, Inc. He stated that the original negotia- tions took plece on or about December 31, 1948, but that the . final agreement was consummated on Jenuery 20, "199, He informed thet these negotiations were handled by J. A. "Me CONE and J. M. WAPRFIELD for Pacific Tankers, Inc., both of these individuals _ being officers of the above-mentioned organization.
