The records of USPC reflect thet the tanker
_ARICKARTE was bare bont chartered in January, 1948, for a
period of 12 years to Petroleum Carriers of Panama, Ince,
and subsequently bare boat chartered to Socony-Vacuum
O11 Company until Merch, 1953. These records also reflect
that a portion of the hires received on this charter from
Socony-Vacuum O11 Company under the latter charter have
been set up as &@ liability to Petroleum Carriers of
Mr. H. 0, BECKER, Treasurer and Seerctary of
YSPC, advised that the charters and sub-charters on the
ARICKARDE were effective April 2, 1948, when this vessel
was delivered to Socony-Vacuum 011 Company, as further |
discussed under Department Item Number 15.

that the chartered owner of the ARICKARET is USPC end
that all charter hires on this vessel were assigned to the
Chase National Bank of ths City of New York. He furthor

~ ARICKAREE'S being chartercd by USPC to Petroleum Carriers
of Panama, although they have a photostatic copy of a
telegram datcd April 22, 1946, from the United States
Maritime Commission to USPC cpproving a bare boat charter
on the ARICKAREE to Petroleum Carriers of Panama for a
period of 12 years.
