Dear Sir: It has become necessary, during the course of the investigation concernine the murdered and missing children in Atlanta, Georgia, that certain sensitive and expedited investigative techniques be employed. In that regard we wish to request of the Federal Government, through your Agency, that we be supplied with certain technical eguipment which would assist in facilitating, hopefully, a successful resclution to this matter. This letter is being forwarded to your office in keeping with the United States Department of Justice Order, 896-80, dated April 29, 1980, pertaining to the disbirsal of sound technical equipment on loan from the Federal Government to State Agencies.
