ALINVE[ IVE DIVISION INFORMATIVE NOTE Re: ATKID By attached teletype, the Atlanta Division advises that the surveillance of the home of Wayne Bertram Williams continues; however, no positive results have yet been forthcoming. Additionally, Atlanta is in the process of contacting over 400 associates and acquaintance of Williams' for the purposes of interviewing and display of photographs where appropriate. The former residence of Michael McIntosh, a prior victim in this matter, was processed on 6/8/81 and a limited number of fingerprints were obtained and forwarded to the FBI Labora- tory for analysis. The case of John Harold Porter has not yet been placed on the Task Force's list of missing and murdered children; however, the Atlanta Division is obtaining the facts of the full investigation conducted to date. The Atlanta news media has been erroneously reporting that a witness has voluntarily come forth stating that he had seen Williams with prior victim Yusef Bell. A meeting between AUSA Chuck Sapphos and the Attorney General for the State of Georgia was held on 6/8/81 to discuss an alternative to the opposition of Lewis Slaton to proceeding in a legal manner regarding Wayne Bertram Williams.
