6£147 (1615-81) criminy|t i if ATIVE DIVISION INFORMATIVE NOTE Date June 22, 1981 Re: ATKID, MAJOR CASE 30, OO: ATLANTA By attached teletype Atlanta advised that at approximately 5:00 pm, 6/21/81, Wayne Bertram Williams was arrested at his residence. Two Fulton County detectives and suspect's attorney were present at the time of the arrest. Williams was transported by local authorities to Fulton County Jail. It is believed Williams charged with the murder of Nathaniel Cater in affidavit signed by Altanta Deputy Chief Morris Redding on 6/20/81. Atlanta was unaware of above proceedings prior to 5:00 pm, 6/21/81.
