INFOR[ IVENOTE
Date 6/18/82
Re: ATKID
By attached teletype, the Atlanta Division
advises that on 6/16/81 Wayne Bertram Williams
followed by his father, Homer Williams,
departed the Williams’ residence in two
separate vehicles and proceeded to a narrow
gravel road. After turning onto the gravel
road, Homer Williams blocked the thoroughfare
allowing Wayne Bertram Williams to evade the
surveillance. Williams was subsequently
located and at this point, he returned to his
residence.
On 6/16/81, Williams along with his attorney
Mary Welcome, appeared before U. 8. District
Court Judge Orinda Evans. Evidence was
presented in an attempt to obtain a restraining
order against law enforcement. Judge Evans
took the matter under advisement and has
not yet reached any decision.
