Attached Atlanta teletype advises that the
prosecution rested its case on 2/4/82,
On the final day, prosecution witnesses
testified that Wayne Bertram Williams had made
derogatory remarks about poor black children,
stated that he did not like poor black children,
killing one black male child would stop repro-
duction of numerous other black children. Wit-
nesses testified to having observed scratches
on Williams’ arms and face in the past and to
leeecrtae pe mhewe streak
having observed him demonstrate how to render a
person unconscious by applying pressure to the
neck.
An associate of Williams testified that she
asked Williams if he would confess to the mur-
ders if the police got enough evidence and that
his response was "yes."
