In referenced letter the Bureau assumed that the aforementioned Service desired that these reporta be forwarded to the Basque Headquarters in New York City. It was requested that this let Reference is made to Santiago letter to the Bureau dated June 4, 1946, entitled BASQUE INTELLIGENCE SERVICE; ADMINISTRATIVE, which furnished certain material to the Bureau from the Basque Intelligence Service in Santiago with the request that the Bureau forward this material to the Basque authorities in the Thited States. material which was contained in an envelope marked which the Bureau has received without a cover letter. explanation for the receipt of same without a cover letter is that said letter was apparently lost in transit.
