Tne Pepartment of the Navy, in advising. tho Bureau of the ‘subject's most recent exploits, indicated that Demara was teled by court-martial in 1948. . 7 . ae A review of the Bureau file reflects that subject was inter- - stewed at tne time of his apprehension on the desertion charge, at - waich time he stated that he left Erie, Ponnsylvania, during March or April, 1946 and traveled to Los Angeles where he stayed at the st. John of God Sarlitorium, Western Avenue.
