Sources report that only approximately $300 was raised for this purpose during February, 1972. The BPP Chapter continues to solicit food for their Free Breakfast for Children Program and used clothing for their Free Clothing Program which they are trying to inaugurate. Sources report that the North Carolina BPP Chapter is in arrears in payment for news~ paper money owed to the California Headquarters and has made several requests to California Headquarters for financial assistance with negative results. nD B. FOREIGN SOURCES None reported. C. EXPENSES Half the price of the newspapers or $875 would be owed to the California Headquarters of the BPP in addition to an estimated $20 per week air freight charge. The BPP Headquarters at 1333 North Patterson Ave. is being purchased under a lease- purchase agreement with a mortgage rental of $100 per month to be applied toward the purchase price of the house. The chapter has also rented an apartment at 210 East 14th St. under the name of RICKIE HOOPER.
