Arts in Winston Salem, North Carolina, was paying transportation
expenses for BOBBY SEALE to appear at Winston Salem State
University, 2 predominantly black college located in Winston
Salem, North Carolina. advised that Winston
Salem State University had signed a contract for SEALE to
speak at the school on November 14, 1971.

amount of money SEALE was being allowed for transporation
expenses,
On November 5, 1971, CE T~-2 advised that officials
at Winston Salem State University, Winston Salem, North
Carolina, had signed a contract with the BPP for SEALE to make
a speech at that university on November 14, 1971. Under terms
of the agreement, SEALE was to receive one thousand five hundred
dollars following the speech, which will be paid by check
made payable to Consolidated Productions, Incorporated, CE T-2
stated payment for SEALE is being made from student activity
funds at the university and no admission will be charged for
students attending the speech. CE T-2 stated that the contract
stipulated that there were to be no bodyguards on the stage with
SEALE during the speech and there was to be no display of
weapons of any sort.
On November 5, 1971, CE T-3 advised that the BPP had
approached A&T University, a predominantly black college in
Greensboro, North Carolina, for BOBBY SEALE to make a speech
at the university. CE T~3 advised SEALE was asking one thousand
eight hundred dollars for his appearance, which officials at
A&T State University felt was excessive; accordingly, they
declined to have SEALE appear at this university.
On November 9, 1971, CE T-4 advised that the Student
Government Association of St. Augustine's College, a predominantly
black college in Raleigh, North Carolina, had signed a contract
for BOBBY GEORGE SEALE to speak at the college on November 15,
1971, CE T-4 advised that SEALE was scheduled to speak at
7:00 P.M, on November 15, 1971, in the Emery Health and Fine
Arts Building. This source stated SEALE's speech will be open
to the public and no admission will be charged. CE T-4 stated
St. Augustine's College had agreed to pay SEALE one thousand
dollars for his appearance, which money was to come from
student activity funds. CE T-4 advised he did not know whether
the fee would be paid directly to SEALE or to the BPP.
