This issue stated that this organization was formed by the nationwide supporter clubs of the publication YS. The above issue. page 6, set ferth the Founding Declaration of the YSA. This declaration stated that the YSA recognizes the Socialist Workers Party (SWP) as the only existing political leadership on class struggle prirciples, and that the supporters of the YS have come into basic political solidarity with the SWP cn the principles of revoluticnéry socialism. On March 10, 1967, 2 scurce advised that the YSA was formed during 1957, by youth of various left socialist tenden- cies, particularly members and followers of the SYP. The source further advised that the YSA has recently become more open about admitting that it is the youth group of the SwWP and that an SWP representative hus publicly stzted that the YSA is the S¥P‘s youth group.
