BPP held funeral services for ‘7.DDELL in ‘Vinston-Salea,
North Carolina, on June 21, 1972, LARRY LITTLE was in
charge of funeral services md ataped eulogy for WADDELL was
delivered by BOBBY SEALE, Chairman of the BPP. Following
the funeral LARRY LITTLE announced that the BPP was
sponsoring a demonstration at Central Prison on Sunday,
June 25, 1972, to focus attention on the death of WADDELL
snd conditions in the North Carolina prison. LITTLE stated
the demonstration would be peaceful, LIVTTLE also steted
GOLDEN FRINGS, Field Secretary of the Southern Chriscicn
Leadership Conference and BENJAMIN CHAVIS, Assistant Director
of the North Carolina - Virginia Committce for Racial
Justice would participate in the demonstration, According
to CE T-1, hovever, both declined LITTLE's invitation. This
source stated LITTLO hed apparently abandoned his previous
plens to sponsor a protest demonstration at North Carolina
Central Prison,
