Funding for the BPP is dependent <lImost totclly
from donations from the general public and from the sale
of the BPS newspaper. The newspcper, itself, wiich has
_-in the past been o constcnt source of revenue, has dwindled
considerably ond the party membership generally sells fewer U
than 200 copies cf the newspaper per month.

Donations to the Party have regularly come from
are: churches and from individual contributions by persons
who have benefited from the BPP Free Ambulcnce Service.
These donations vary in amounts; however, generally funds ,1
are obtrined a few dollers at a time.
Additionally, donations to the Party have also
come from individuals supporting the Jo Ann Little movement
which evolved in the Winston-Salem area during the spring
and summer of 1975 as a result of an ongoing investigation
and subsequent triol being held in Raleigh, North Carolina,
during August, 1975, at which time JO Ait! LITTLZ, a Negro
female, was charged with the murder of c white Beaufort
County Jeiler end subsequently acquitted in th-t aicl. v
The newsprper, The Black Panther, sells for 25¢
a copy ond helf the proceeds [rom the newspaper sales ire
foruarded to the BPP Wecdquarters in Oakland, Colifornicz.
Preceecs from donctions are regularly spent on scs end oil
and upl:ecp for the BPP embulance end other vehicles as well
as maintaining heedquerters and also for peyment to BPP a
officers for their exnenses. ‘
