SOURCES OF INCOME During August, 1971, the group ordered or received an estimated 10,000 copies of the BPP newspaper which were delivered in the name RUSSELL McDONALD, Distribution Manager. LARRY DONNELL LITTLE announced that the group had been successful in raising approximately $600 to date in contributions mainly through their efforts to arrange bail for the High Point Four. The High Point Four are four young BPP members who were arrested by the High Point Police Department following a shoot-out wherein one High Point Police Officer was wounded. “The BPP was successful in arranging for bond for the a/fP_ youngest member of the High Point Four, LARR DLEY, by posting |~ a $4,000 cash bond. On 8/27/71, that he had determined the $4,000 check used to post bond for MEDLEY was signed by the American Civil Liberties Union Attorney NEIL/HIRSCHBURY of Chapel Hill, N. C. This cash bond was recéived from an anonymous donor with the agreement that the BPP would reimburse the donor following completion of prosecution.
