=, : Ey é 4 ESSAYS FROM ° ta THE MINLTER OF NUFETISE ~ , HUSY P. KENTON IN DEFENSE OF SELF DEFENSE June po. 1967 Laws and rules have always been made to serve people. Rules of society are set up by people so that thcy will bo able to function in a harmonioz3 way. In other words, in order to promote the general - welfare of society, rules and laws are established by men. Rules - shovld serve men, and not men serve rules. Much of the time, the laws) and rules which officials attesnt te ‘inflict upon poor people are non functional in relation to the status of the poor in society.’ These officials are blind to the fact that people shculd not re- spect that are not serving then. It is the duty of the poor to write and construct rules end laws that are in their better interests. This is one of the basic human rights of all men. , Before 1776, white people were colonized by the English. The En- glish gcveznment had certain laws and xules that the colonized Aneri- cans viewed as not in their best interests but as a colonized people. At that time the English government fit that the colcnized Americans had no right to establish lav= to "promote the general welfare of the people living here in aArericr. ae colonized American felt he had no choice but.to raise the gun in Gntense of the welfere of the colon= ized poople. At this time, he made certain laws insuring his protec=- tion from external and interral aggressioas from govecnments and agencies. One such form cf protection was the Declaration of inde~ pendence, which states: “...wiensver sny covernment becenas des struc— tive to thrse ends, it is the zinht of the people to alte: oz to abolish it, and to. institute 2 rev goveznment, laying its foundations on such principles end ozgenist: ng its powers in such forms as to them shail seen most likely to ¢ Scct shoir safety and happiness. * Now these sane colonized white people, these ex-slaves, robbers, and thieves, have dénied the colenizeG black man the rignt to even speak of abol’shing this oporessiva system which the white colonized American created. They have carried their madness to the four corners of the earth, and now there is universal rebellion against their con- tinued rule and power. The Biick peovle in America are the only pto- ple who can free the world, locsen the yoke of colonialism and destroy the war machine. As leng as the wheels of the imperialistic war ma- chine are turning there is no country that can defeat this monster of the West. But Black people can make a malfunction of this machine from within. Black people can destxoy the machinery that's cnslaving the world. America cannot. stand to fight every Black country in the world and fight a civil war at thd’ reme time. it is militarily im- pissible to do both of these thirgs at once. The slavery of Blacks in this country provides the oil for the ma- chinery of war that America uses to enclave the peoplas of the world. Ey pm Me tags, tity ow erg ir Fee Sis TA, Ser?
