might be identical with Eubert Bleigh, alleged companion of the Barrow Brothers,
Mre Bleke stated that he would definitely ascertein whether Blythe wie Bleigh
and subsequently informed the writer by telephone that i+ war Hubert Bleigh,
Sompanion of the Barrows who had been arrested, Mr, Blake desired to be in-
formed as to whether Bleigh is wanted for the killings in Joplin, and whether
he is wanted in connection with the shooting at Platte City. The writer con-
tasted Clenyinger, at Platte City, who advised that he does want Bleich for
participation in the shooting thore. Ls D. Rice, County Prosecutor of Newton
County, Neosho, Missourl (the killing of the officers in Joplin on April 3rd
occurred in Newton County) was contacted by tolophons and he advised that he
is not in possession of any evidence connecting Bleigh with the murder of the
Joplin officers, and therefore doos not mnt him. He stutes he only wants
the two Barrow Brothers in connection with this mtter.
On July 25, 1955, Chief of Police Nicholson, of Junction City,
Kansas, called the Bureau Office, and the writer talked to him, Nicholson
Stated that Ollie Carlson, a guard at the Central National Sank, of Junction
City, on that date, saw a Ford or Chevrolet, now coups, containing three

highway 77, which goes to Herington, Kansas, and branches off into another
road, and on this route one can reach Wichita. Nicholson said one man was
in the rumble seat and that two men were in the front seat and that one of

the men or the license number of the car, but thet be thought it might te

In a letter from the Dallas office dated July 19th reference
is made to 1955 Kansas license number £-1514, having been issued for a Ford
Sedan, to Claude Barrett, General Delivery, Wichita, Kansas, Agent Calhoun
of the Fensas City Bureau office conducted investigation at Wichita but was
unable to learn anything of the identity of any Claude Barrett.
On July 28, 1935, telegram ms received from the Salt Lake
City Office in which it was stated thet the United Press at Salt Lake City :
hed received a measage from lowe State Police that Bonnie Parker was supposed
+o be in custody in a Denver, Colorado Eospitel, and that verification thereof
was sought as the Denver Police had conducted investigation and failed to
locate Bonnie Parker in any hospital there. This wire aleo states that the
United Press in Salt Lake City later advised that the United Press Service
