MARCHES ON WASHINGTON AND DEMONSTRATIONS
NCHEDULED FOR THE OPENING OF CONGRESS. _
With reference to Column Cne, reports from Pittsburgh state that
these marchers, numbering approximately 700, in 62 cars, 15 of vhich vere
trucks, and the rest passenger automobiles, were in Younvstovm the nighs
of November 30th. The leaders are Mike Norton of Chicago, and Walter Flicker.
They plan to leave Youngstom the morning of December lst for Pittsburg:.

that this group spent the night at Lee Station, juct outside of Steuben illic,
Ohio, there being 100 in the group, carried in 4 trucks and 6 passencer
automobiles, They are exsected to arrive in Pittsburgh the afternoon .:
With reference to Column Five, reports from Birmingham, dated
November 30th, state that epproximately 60 marchere left Chattanooga in
5 automobiles und 1 truck, plenning to stop at Asheville the night of My
Novenber 30th. Later reports from Charlotte state thet 57 left Chattyn oga o
to arrive at Asheville the night of November 30th, there being 5 passen ur
