MISCELLANEOUS «© INFORZATION CONCERNING LPR blab dad | dad a With reference to the information received from Special on™ Ostholthoff indicating that the CPA in San Francisco had refused to pre furnish information to Ostholthoff, I desire to advise that I received @ memorandum from the Investigative Division either late Tuesday night, August 20, or the first thing Wednesday morning, August 21, whith indicated that Vr. Ostholthoff had telephoned the Bureau and had advised that he had been refused access to the CPA records. It wes recommended that the matter be taken up with the headquarters of the CPA here and a memorandum indiceting that Mr. Ostholthoff had been instructed to forward air mail special delivery 24, oe tte the details with reference to this BALLET, was submitted. I took no action on this memorandum and in fact took no further action until the receipt of this air mail letter, which was on Thursday night August 22.
