It is observed that this killing took place prior to the enactment of the Unlawful Flight Statute. This investigative file pertains to another gangland slaying in Los Angeles involving the murder of George L#Sruneman and an innocent bystander at Los Angeles on October 25, 1937. Information was re- pe ceived by the Los Angeles Division at that time indicatine that Brunem4n had .. acted as fingerman for the killing of Meyers and Keller, who are described as .., Chicago gangsters.
