We previously obtained a transcript of these memoirs which were reviewed witb appropriate comments aod observations (memoraidum Branigan to Sullivan, “Harold Kim Philby," 2/19/68). With regard to the release of the memoirs, "The Washington Post" was referring to the first part of Philby's memoirs which appeared im the April, 1968, issue of the magazine "Evergreen"; this hit the newsstands oo 3/15/68. am, 1 F-
